    Description

    The Saudi Arabia 500 Riyals Banknote was issued by the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency in 2012. This blue banknote features King Abdul Aziz and a Ka’aba (cube) on its obverse. The reverse depicts the Ka’aba in the courtyard of the Holy Mosque of Mecca and the national emblem depicting two crossed swords with a palm tree. The note contains a holographic stripe and a windowed security thread with a demetallized 500 and Arabic text between wavy lines. It also bears a watermark that reflects King Abdul Aziz, an electrotype 500, and Cornerstones. The note is 166 x 74 mm in size and is signed by Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz bin Abdullah al-Assaf and Fahad Al-Mubarak. This particular paper bill has been graded 66 by the Paper Money Guaranty.
